History of the Event
Over three-quarters of the Kenwood Education Foundation’s financial resources are raised each year in a single event, Lights, Camera, Auction! (LCA!). A gala dinner dance with silent and live auctions showcasing hundreds of exciting and creative items donated by Kenwood School parents and business people in Kenwood, Sonoma, Glen Ellen, Santa Rosa, and throughout the Bay Area, LCA! brings the entire community together to celebrate our children and community while raising funds for the wide array of enrichment programs annually funded by KEF.
Thanks to the generosity of the ever generous Kunde family, for 11 consecutive years LCA! was held at the marvelous Kunde Winery located in Kenwood, California. In 2008, the Kenwood Education Foundation decided to move this event to a new venue which would allow for a much larger gathering. Fortunately, another remarkable Kenwood School family, the Benzigers, stepped forward and graciously offered the use of Imagery Estate Winery located just minutes south of Kenwood in Glen Ellen. This community and the children of Kenwood School will never be able to adequately thank these remarkable families who have for so long done so much for the people of our valley.
LCA! 2009 returns to Imagery Estate Winery on Saturday, June 6. Please mark your calendars and check for updates in early 2009 when event details, auction item donation forms, and reservation request forms will be available. Whether you’re a repeat guest or a newcomer to LCA!, we look forward to having you join us for a fun-filled evening in the Valley of the Moon.
